Episode 21: Sister DIY Day

So on Wednesday & Thursday, Brenda and I were in DIY moods so we decided to film a tutorial each for our YouTube channels. :) Each project took a little longer than expected, but the results were great! She wanted to make flower crowns for the upcoming concert that she's going to. You can check out her tutorial here :) :

As for my project, I've been looking into ways to bring some life into my room. It's always super messy (I really need to work on cleaning that up), especially now, after we've moved back from our apartment at school. But I saw some flower balls on Pinterest that were really pretty, so I wanted to make them to decorate my room with them! When I went to Michael's to get the styrofoam balls, I saw the cone version and it looked so cute! So I thought, "Hey! they can be flower trees instead!" So.. here's the result:

I had a little trouble with the bottom of the cone. It kept shedding stuff! I was ripping off the leaves afterwards to save them and when I saw the 3-leaf ones, I thought it would be a great idea to glue them together and stick it to the bottom. :D I think it turned out pretty awesome! I have another idea on how to use this flower decorating technique to spice up my future filming area. :D (If we really do set up the basement for our filming area... only downside is that there is no windows for natural lighting... so we'll have to see.)

Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you in my next post!

Episode 20: Graduation!

Last Sunday marked a huge milestone in my life. I finally graduated from Rutgers! :D As happy as I am to be done with school work and all, I'm definitely going to miss being a student. The only things I really had to worry about was doing my school work and passing my classes. haha. Now I have to worry about finding a job, paying off loans, and a bunch of other responsibilities. :( I can't wait till I find a job!... but definitely not looking forward to the interviewing part. I hope I can find a job within a large company that offers a training program for new employees. Crossing my fingers! Also, congrats to everyone who's graduating from their current schools! Those of you graduating from high school must be super happy! College life is like "freedom" if you live away from home. I'm definitely going to miss that...

Anyways, to mark the celebration of graduation season, I decided to film a nail tutorial. I wore this to my own graduation. I had a red & black gown and a matching tassel with gold accents. So I used the basic black and white with gold as the accent color on my nails. :)

Of course, you should mix and match the colors to match your gown/dress! haha. I hope you enjoy this video!

Thanks for watching/reading!

Episode 19: What's in My Bag?

Hi guys! :)

So I decided to do a "What's in my Bag" video for my channel today. I really wanted to do a DIY video, but I was unable to bring all of my craft stuff home this weekend. So I guess I'll have to wait on that until I've organized everything again because I can not, for the life of me, find anything I need!

Anyways, you can watch the video below! :)

I've always wanted to do this tag because I just find it so much fun to watch others on YouTube doing this tag. So the bag that I used was the Coach Penny Purse. This is a crossbody bag with detachable locks so it can be used as a clutch as well. :) I really love this purse because it helps me limit the things I carry out with me (I have a habit of stuffing as much as I can into my bags...) and keep a balanced weight on my back/shoulders.

Episode 18: Spring Fashion & Beauty Haul

Hiiiiii! :)

So I wanted to record a new video today and all of the videos I wanted to do... I ended up not being able to do them BECAUSE I don't have a lot of my stuff at my apartment anymore. The only video I was able to do was a Spring Haul video of all the things I've purchased recently. And so I did... haha. Go check it out below. :) It's my first time talking to a camera so I was pretty nervous, which then made me sound awkward... hopefully I'll improve soon!

Have you guys gone on a huge shopping spree lately to get ready for the nice weather? :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Episode 17: Leather Circle Skirt Pairings

I know I made a post before about joining the YouTube community, but afterwards, I decided to move the channel to something with the same name as this blog. It would only make sense, right? :) So I've uploaded a new video today and wanted to share with you guys. Please like and subscribe if you like this video. It would really mean a lot to me. Thank you so much!♥

I can't wait to start making videos on craft tutorials once I graduate! I'm super excited for that. :D

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Episode 16: Honey Teriyaki Salmon

Lately, I've been trying to eat a little healthier to get myself back into shape. I have a tendency to start obsessing over random foods once I start eating them. As you may have guessed, salmon is one of them. A few months ago, I ate grapefruits like my life depended on it. I would crave it every day and eat one every meal. Eventually, I got over it and stopped since it's not really good to eat too much of one thing. So glad that watermelon and mango season is coming so I can munch on those now!

So back to the salmon, I was at the supermarket, looking for foods to buy for this week when I came across the salmon section. I've been ordering it a lot whenever I go out to eat lately, so I decided to try to make my own. I looked up a recipe online (here), but I didn't have all the ingredients that they listed so I used it as my base recipe and added a few other ingredients to it. I love this website because it allows you to adjust the servings to how ever many people you need! Makes my life so much easier...

Episode 15: Anticipation Looms

Hi my lovely readers!

Today's post is going to be non-craft or fashion related, actually. April came so fast. It feels like New Years just happened and now, its already almost halfway through the year. Usually the years go by quite slow and feels like every thing happens at normal speed. But this year, it's different. This year is a special year for me. I'm finally going to be graduating college! :) I'm so excited, yet at the same time, I'm scared. After graduating, it means I'd have to officially start the adult life and look for a full-time job and take on full responsibilities. It's kind of a lot to take in since it does mark one of the biggest achievements in one's lifetime.

Throughout the middle of the semester, I contemplated on going for grad school just to avoid finding a job. Interviews are so nerve-racking! My shyness doesn't help with that either. Haha. But after thinking about it, as an ITI major, I think experience is more important for me to advance in the positions I'd be applying for, so I decided to just man up (or woman up...?) and just face it! At the moment, I'm no longer that nervous about facing the real world, but that might change once the time comes. :P I always wonder what my first job would be...
