Episode 15: Anticipation Looms

Hi my lovely readers!

Today's post is going to be non-craft or fashion related, actually. April came so fast. It feels like New Years just happened and now, its already almost halfway through the year. Usually the years go by quite slow and feels like every thing happens at normal speed. But this year, it's different. This year is a special year for me. I'm finally going to be graduating college! :) I'm so excited, yet at the same time, I'm scared. After graduating, it means I'd have to officially start the adult life and look for a full-time job and take on full responsibilities. It's kind of a lot to take in since it does mark one of the biggest achievements in one's lifetime.

Throughout the middle of the semester, I contemplated on going for grad school just to avoid finding a job. Interviews are so nerve-racking! My shyness doesn't help with that either. Haha. But after thinking about it, as an ITI major, I think experience is more important for me to advance in the positions I'd be applying for, so I decided to just man up (or woman up...?) and just face it! At the moment, I'm no longer that nervous about facing the real world, but that might change once the time comes. :P I always wonder what my first job would be...

One thing I'm trying to work on is building up confidence. I think that's my weakest point. It causes me to be shy in front of people, not be able to speak up in front of crowds, etc. That's the primary reason why I decided to make YouTube videos too. I hope that through speaking in front of a camera and presenting information to an audience will help boost my confidence level. I'm not trying to say that I don't have any confidence at all, it's just lower than I'd like it to be. My parents always say that I talk/act like a little girl so hopefully, I'll be able to see myself mature through my videos. :) Confidence is super important in a work space. I believe that it's one of the main reasons why people succeed. Being confident can lead you to do great things because you're not constantly thinking about if you did something wrong (which would lead you to back out).

What other key aspects do you guys think are important to success?

With less than a month left of my final years in college, I'd say it's all pretty exciting overall. I think that the tight time span I have left before having to go out into the real world really pushes me to think about my future and what I want to do. I was kinda thinking of ideas on opening a shop of some kind online and working from home, but I haven't really thought of anything fun and exciting that I'd like to do.

My senioritis has gotten to me. I'm feeling so lazy these days! Anyone else feeling the same way? Thankfully, I have interesting course projects to work on until the end of the semester or else I'd definitely be slacking (definitely already reached that stage in my geography class though...) :x lol. Let me show you what I've been doing all day:

LOL. -___-" I still have to finish my code sketch for my game creation course for tomorrow too...

Well, that's my rant for today. :) I haven't been keeping up with my video posting like I said I would. I think everything might just be on hold until I graduate or until finals week (since I don't have any finals except for geography). So maybe I'll film one then! Or else I'll just have to do it after graduation. AH SO EXCITED! I'll definitely have a steady schedule then and be able to work out a schedule that allows me to do all the things I want so just wait for me please!♥

Until next time, lovelies
Angela
